Abstract: This study compares two sets of sensory profiles of eight headphones, obtained in two experiments, with the intent of revealing the differences and or limitations of these methods: The first experiment used a double blind approach with headphone auralizations and in the second experiment assessors listened to the actual headphones, as a non-blind experiment. The results of each experiment are analyzed and compared to reveal the differences, and causes for these differences, for each attribute.
