Standards Based Audio Networking for the Home

Three trends are driving home audio networking: the popularity of IT networking, the increase in broadband connections to the home, and the swing away from disk based audio to downloaded and streamed content. Standards are needed to ensure that purchased equipment will interoperate properly. The mechanics of streaming high quality audio to your hi-fi system are largely solved.
