American Airlines In-Flight Entertainment System

Document Thumbnail

Passengers are entertained on American Airlines' Astrojets by a visual and audio system labeled (naturally) Astrovision. Astrovision is basically a closed circuit television system, with a primary input from a video tape player, and additional inputs from a television camera and from a receiver for local broadcasts. An equally important feature of the Astrovision system is the two channels of tape recorded stereophonic music available to each passenger.
