The Application of Tantalum Capacitors in Miniature Audio Amplifiers

Document Thumbnail

Trends toward smaller electronic circuits, often utilizing thin-film or integrated circuit techniques, have increased the demand for large capacitance values in small physical sizes. Restrictions on size often dictate the use of electrolytic capacitors in circuit functions usually reserved for other types. The electrical characteristics of solid tantalum capacitors, as they apply to present amplifier design requirements, will be discussed.
