Dr. Jean-Marc Jot leads technology research and strategy at iZotope, a company recognized for deploying award-winning signal processing and machine learning technology in its music and audio production tools.
Prior to iZotope, Jean-Marc initiated and drove the development of pioneering immersive audio processing technologies, compute platforms and deployment standards for virtual and augmented reality, gaming, communication, broadcast, cinema, home and mobile - with Creative Labs, DTS and Magic Leap.
Before relocating to California in the late 90s, he conducted research in spatial audio processing and perception applied to music creation and reproduction at IRCAM in Paris.
He is a Fellow of the Audio Engineering Society, a regular speaker in industry and academic events, and author of numerous influential publications and patents on digital audio signal processing (sites.google.com/site/jmmjot/).
In 2009, Jean-Marc Jot was presented with the AES Fellowship Award in recognition of his valuable contributions to the development of spatial sound processing, multi-channel audio coding, and artificial reverberation.
