AES Awards

In 2009, Jean-Marc Jot was presented with the AES Fellowship Award in recognition of his valuable contributions to the development of spatial sound processing, multi-channel audio coding, and artificial reverberation.

Employment History

Recently, I joined the leadership team of SonicCloud, a comprehensive audio personalization software solution integrated in consumer devices and platforms to enhance hearing. Previously, I initiated and drove the development of novel sound and music processing technologies, compute platforms and deployment standards for virtual and augmented reality, gaming, broadcast, cinema, music creation - with Magic Leap, Creative Labs, DTS/Xperi, iZotope/SoundWide and IRCAM.

Related Experience

Prior to relocating to California in the late 90's, I conducted applied research in spatial audio processing and perception applied to music creation and reproduction - with IRCAM and France Telecom. Fellow of the Audio Engineering Society, regular speaker in industry and academic events. Authored numerous influential publications and patents on digital audio signal processing (
