Balazs Kakonyi is a Principal Transducer Engineer at JBL Professional. Balazs grew up in Hungary and studied Electical Engineering in Budapest. He has a Masters degree in Electro-Acoustics from Le Mans University in France. He started his professional career interning for Klippel GmbH in Dresden, Germany. He joined Harman in 2015 and worked as an automotive Transducer Engineer on projects for Mercedes-AMG and PSA. Later, he joined AKG Professional as an Acoustic Engineer and helped develop beamforming algorithms for circular microphone arrays. In 2019 Balazs moved to Los Angeles to work at JBL Professional. His work is focused on the design of next generation professional transducers. He is developing new platforms and technologies for measuring, designing and simulating transducers and waveguides.
