About

Balazs Kakonyi is a Principal Transducer Engineer at JBL Professional. Balazs grew up in Hungary and studied Electrical Engineering in Budapest. He has a master's degree in Electro-Acoustics from Le Mans University in France. He started his professional career interning for Klippel GmbH in Dresden, Germany. He joined Harman International in 2015 and held various positions as Transducer and Acoustics Engineer since then.
In 2019, Balazs moved to Los Angeles to work at JBL Professional. His work is focused on the design of next generation professional transducers and signal processing algorithms for benchmarking transducers and loudspeaker systems. He is developing new products, platforms and technologies for measuring, designing and simulating transducers and waveguides.
