Summary

The event was to showcase the movie, the Dark Knight, which won multiple awards for best sound mixing and best soundtrack score, as well as being awarded the 2008 AFI Movie of the Year and the 2009 Oscar for best in sound editing. Before the meeting, we were given a brief summary of the history of Tomlinson Holman and his creation of the THX standard. We then observed particular moments in the film which deserved analysis of recording techniques and sound design.
