Summary

On September 29th 2011, the auditorium at Estudio Urbano, in Buenos Aires, was chosen for the start of the "Second Series of Open Conferences in Estudio Urbano; Audio & Acoustics", organized once again by AES Argentina.
This Series consist of a total of ten Seminars from different keynote speakers, each specialized in diverse areas of audio and acoustics, and taking place every Thursday from September 29th until December 1st.

On October 20th, Nestor Stazzoni along with Carlos Boffa gave a presentation on the innovative technologies in cones and tweeters on the Focal French Studio Monitors. There was also a comparative listening session, individually and in small groups, to system models CMS 40, CMS 50, CMS 65, SM 6, SM twins 6, CMS SUB and 6; all systems could be selected and switched on and off at all times for the purpose of confronting their sound.
For the second part of this seminar, Nestor Stazzoni, sound engineer with many years of experience on live sound, spoke about the signal chain for live sound PA and monitors, all while explaining specific components from the audio chain on live operation and demonstrating how technology and procedures helped to find the appropriate solution every time.
