The meeting continued with an explanation of what AES does as an organization and the benefits that come with a membership. Student membership pricing was also discussed at the meeting. CRAS has some audio events coming up in the near future. These events include Sound Radix: Unphaze the Haze (TBD), Howl's Moving Castle (4/26/2024), AMAC: Finding Your Guides Workshop (5/16/2024) and Mastering Clinic with Major Appelbaum (5/30/2024). Then vice president, Kai Rocke, presented topics for the meeting next week. The voting options were AES Spotlight: internship tips and tricks vs. freelancing in audio. Internship tips and tricks ended up winning and will be the topic for next week's meeting.

The speakers moved on to discuss the subgroups that CRAS has to offer. Current subgroups include Music creation/songwriting, Jammers, Sound Design, CRAS Connected (radio). Then Kai explained how one can start a subgroup. Other groups include CRAS Mentors and Women of Audio. CRAS Mentors is a group at CRAS that allows students to give each other academic assistance. Women of Audio is a group that focuses on encouraging women in the audio industry. The CRAS AES Instagram page was also mentioned (follow @CRAS.AES!!!).

The sound design contest was introduced for this cycle. Kai walked others through the sound design competition that occurs at the end of each cycle. Meeting attendees get the opportunity to vote on the best sound/winner. The plugin of the week at this meeting was called Softube Saturation Knob. Along with its sound related capabilities, it also allows the user to incorporate automation into the plugin itself.
