On Wednesday 10 April members of the AES Belgium section were invited to a visit and technical tour of the European Parliament buildings in Brussels. After a general introduction into the history and structure of the European institutions, the focus was on the AV aspects of the broadcast, recording and conferencing facilities. Apart from the UN building in New York City, few if any organisations have similarly impressive requirements in scheduling, number of channels/languages, and impact of AV issues.
