The AES-TAMABA Student Section had the honor of participating in the captivating presentation by Indio Gauvron during the XVIII Argentine Congress of Acoustics (AdAA 2023).
This event, organized by the Argentine Acoustics Association (AdAA) and the University School of Arts at the National University of Quilmes (EUDA-UNQ), immersed us in two days filled with knowledge on December 6 and 7 at the National University of Quilmes.
On this occasion, Indio Gauvron introduced the community to the 3D Simulator for Didactic Training in Transmission Loss Measurement, sharing the objectives and scope of this innovative project. From the intricacies of programming (led by the Director of the Sound Program at the TAMABA Tertiary Institute, Guido Alfonsi) to the mathematical calculations used in the simulations of transmission loss, they were expertly addressed.
Furthermore, student Nahuel Orellana provided a visual demonstration of the training platform through a video poster. He emphasized the importance of measuring the floor noise level, taking measurements in the emitting and receiving areas, as well as simulating the measurement of reverberation time in the receiving area.
