A new weekly meeting of the AES-TAMABA Student Section took place last week. During the meeting, we reviewed the work done by the applicants to compete in the Student Recording Contest that is being held this year as part of the AES Latin American Conference.
The applicants will present their works in three different categories. Bartolomé Serra will present his work in Category 1 "Acoustic Recording," which consists of a recording made in an empty venue.
In Category 5 "Remix," Ariadna Trotta will present her musical production derived from the multitrack recording provided by the artist of the Competition.
The 2023 Student Recording Contest is the sixth consecutive edition in which the AES-TAMABA Student Section participates without interruption. We have submitted works in the editions of Uruguay 2018, Lima 2019, Rio de Janeiro 2020, Medellin 2021, Buenos Aires 2022, and Quito 2023. So far, AES-TAMABA is the Student Section of the Argentine Republic that has obtained 8 medals, including gold, silver, and bronze medals in categories 1, 4, and 5.
