Summary

In the last meeting of the AES-TAMABA student section, the first measurement activity of the "Acoustic Research Group" was carried out, which was developed in Control 2 of the recording studio of the TAMABA Tertiary Institute. The experience had 6 students from the Student Section and had the participation of Indio Gauvron, who provided all his experience and advice.
The activity began at 2:00 p.m. opening the rooms and classrooms, starting up the recording and support equipment, looking for the microphones, checking the cables and preparing the microphone stands to make the recordings. Definition of specific roles for each team member.
Around 14:30 we talked to Indio Gauvron about the project and we plan to do the acoustic measurement. Taking into account the ISO 3382-2 standard (and the valuable contributions of Indio), we evaluated different microphone placement locations, impulse sources.
To record the impulses, 2 Behringer ECM8000 microphones were used in two different positions in the room and 6 impulses and 1 frequency sweep were executed with the "GratisVolver" software.
The experience was positive. While the objective was to take the impulses and scan both in room 2 and room 3, and the task was carried out in the first room. Likewise, the experience was enriching for the group, since we were able to clear up many doubts and rethink some concepts.

Instrumental and tools used
