Summary

As a finishing touch to the activities carried out during an exhausting year, between Monday 14 and Wednesday 16 November we carried out the V Conference on scientific dissemination linked to the audio of the AES-TAMABA Student Section.

For the second time and in a row, we held the conference with a hybrid format, some activities were exclusively face-to-face and others (most) synchronously remotely, via zoom.

During 3 dates, professional masterclasses were given that covered topics as diverse as "acoustic measurements", "sound design for audiovisuals", "audio forensics" and student talks regarding the investigations initiated, the projects for the next year and a start-up . about the musical production works presented during the 2022 Student Recording Contest held within the framework of AES LAC 2022.
On Monday, November 14, the students of the Student Section together with the professor and Faculty Advisor Gustavo González carried out acoustic measurement practices in Classroom 3 of the TAMABA Tertiary Institute. Impulse responses were recorded through balloon detonations and with the internal and external frequency sweep technique.
Tuesday 15 began with the talk "Interpretation of data obtained by IRS" by Gustavo González. Then the student Nahuel Orellana together with Indio Gauvron presented the research and development work "3D Training Simulator for Acoustic Measurements" (which was presented for the first time at the Latin American Audio Conference in September).
Next, the students Brian Aras and Fabio Nahuelquir took the floor and shared the works presented in categories 1 and 3 of the CGE, describing in each case the recording and mixing process in each case.
In addition, this block was closed by a special guest, Ezequiel Morfi, who shared his opinion on the material presented and commented on the project that he is working on together with the artist IL Gualdo, the competitors of category 5 of the Contest and the Chairs. of the CGE 2022. The masterclass "Omnipressor: A pioneering dynamic processor" given by the producer Santiago Capisto closed the second day.

The last date was inaugurated by the authorities of the Student Section who presented the projects to be carried out related to the investigation of audio recording and reproduction in multidimensional, binaural and immersive formats.
Then continued Iván Markovic who spoke about the "Dolby Atmos Sound System" with collective listening included. To close this thematic block, Georgina Lizaso continued with her webinar on the "Evolution of sound systems from stereo to immersive".
And the V Conference on Audio was crowned by the producer Cesar Lamschtein, who gave the masterclass "Introduction to Audio Forensics". For two hours, the more than 70 attendees were able to ask questions and deepen their knowledge of this little-known discipline in solid races.
We are happy with the results obtained at the AES-TAMABA Conference. We already started working on the next one.
