On Thursday, August 11, a new weekly meeting of the AES-TAMABA Student Section was held. During the meeting we reviewed the work done by the applicants to compete in the Student Recording Contest that takes place this year within the framework of the AES Latin American Conference.
The applicants who will present their work in three different categories. Brian Aras will present his work in Category 1 "Acoustic Recording", which consists of a recording made in a local church.
In Category 3 "Modern Recording" Fabio Nahuelquir will present his own musical production made in a home studio and containing multi-track recordings, replacement pieces and samples.
And the same will be done by students Nataly Pol, Diego Martino and Mathias Vorrath in Category 5 "Remix". In this category, the applicants worked with a multitrack recording provided by the Argentine artist Il Gualdo
The 2022 Student Recording Contest is the fifth consecutive edition in which the AES-TAMABA Student Section participates without interruption. We have presented works in the editions of Uruguay 2018, Lima 2019, Rio de Janeiro 2020, Medellin 2021 and Buenos Aires 2022. Until now AES-TAMABA is the only Student Section of the Argentine Republic that has obtained 6 medals among the Gold Medals , Silver and Bronze in categories 4 and 5.
