The AES officers who helped put CRASS together.
This month we got to show off the culmination of a year's worth of hard work. The Central Region Audio Student Summit was April 1-3, and went off without a hitch! It was a hybrid of in person and online panels with presenters from around the globe. We received excelling reviews from both attendees and panelists alike. Some notable presenters were John Storyk, Paul Womack, and Carl Nappa. Our goal for next year's CRASS is to increase event attendance and make CRASS even bigger! The dates for CRASS 2023 will be March 31-April 2.
Aside from CRASS, we had Professor Ben Kessler come in and give a workshop on mastering. It was very insightful to see a professional at work, especially because we don't do a lot of mastering in our school curriculum.
The week after, we held nominations for next year's AES officers and then attended Professor Brian Scheffer's workshop on soldering and fixing up your own gear. He gave us a lot of good advice we will use in our careers moving forward.
We finished off the month by electing next year's AES officers. We have many returning officers, but are especially excited about the new faces joining us for the upcoming year. Their help and leadership skills will be most appreciated.
