Other business or activities at the meeting: This was our first AES Brazil regional meeting in Salvador. It was 2 day event where several speakers alternated presenting different topics in introductory audio. The objective was to reach out to audio people who, for one reason or another, were not able to come to our National Convention. Over the next 6 years we organized some 18 other regional meetings in 10 different cities around the country. These events were sponsored by a group of companies (manufacturers and distributors) which paid for facilities and travel expenses and also contributed speakers for educational presentations. The sponsors also setup a tabletop exhibit where visitors could aquaint themselves with their products.
