Webster University's Dean of the School of Communications, Eric Rothenbuhler, welcoming new students to Sverdrup, the building where all communications students are based.
As Webster University returns to class in the second to last week of August, we are finally seeing a hint of normalcy coming back as well. All classes have returned to their original sizes and it feels as if the University is packed more than ever.
At Webster Welcome Week, the Webster chapter of AES had the opportunity to attend our open house for new students. We ran sound for the Dean of Communications, as well as had our own booth to recruit new members and tell them what we are all about.
Our official meetings started on August 31st, and have been going very well so far. We have been talking about all aspects of audio, from foley to getting jobs in the audio industry as a college student.
As we progress through the next couple weeks, we are preparing ourselves for our concert series that is happening on October 30th. This free event will showcase some local bands, with a Halloween twist on it. We also are planning on attending the AES Conference that will be taking place online this year, and cannot wait for what is to come!
