Berklee Valencia held an open workshop in the AKSS on Monday, October 21st to discuss strategies for engineers to work efficiently before, during, and after a session. We covered topics including knowing your gear beforehand, pre-building input lists, pre-building Pro Tools session templates, and session setup/teardown. Near the end of the workshop, we held a coil cabling session in the live room, where participants learned how to over-under cables, and the reasons why over-undering can elongate the life of your cables and prevent knotting. During the Q&A period, we addressed a wide array of questions, such as working on the System 5 mix console and patching.
