Summary

A multi-part presentation by engineers from Prism Sound, SADiE and ATC Monitors. The first part dealt with dispelling myths about analogue-to-digital (and digital-to-analogue) conversion. The second part went over radio and location production using multi-track techniques and automation. The last part dealt with loudspeaker technology and considerations which need to be taken into account when designing studio monitors. Questions were encouraged throughout the evening.

In addition, Warrren Latimer spoke of his career in the audio industry, from his youth in Northumberland, his days at the BBC and his present position at Pixar Studios.
