This last month we have had several exciting events happen. The first was the St. Louis International Film Festival on November 12th. We provided sound reinforcement for the band Rats & People to play an original soundtrack for a silent film. We also held nominations and elections for the Summit officer positions of Logistics, Hospitality, and Transportation. We elected five new officers to help put on our yearly Central Region Audio Student Summit which we have been hard at work preparing for. We have been reaching out to presenters and sponsors, brainstorming panel ideas, and making plans for advertising and other preparations for the event. We also hosted out last Concert Series for the semester. We provided sound reinforcement for several bands which allowed students to get hands on experience with setting up equipment and running a show.
Another fun event that we had was a Networked Audio Workshop at Ironman Sound Industries which was held on November 24th. Students got to learn about Dante and get hands on experience with Dante-enabled equipment.
Finals are now in full swing for students. We have winter break starting December 22nd and will reconvene on January 16th.
