Summary

Mario Di Cola and Paolo Martignon presented the original concept of the line array used in large PA, describing the technology development starting from the Seventies and introducing the present state-of-the-art about mechanical and digital steering.
Taking advantage of the stages equipped with the most innovative audio and rigging technology arranged within the MIR expo, the participants had the chance to listen to different line array steering implementations.
