This time, Mr. Junichi Yoshio of Pioneer Co. Ltd., who has deeply been engaged in the standardization of professional/consumer Audio in IEC and AES etc. talked about the standardization of 3D Audio. At the beginning of the lecture, he introduced the basic idea of international standard in detail. Then he comprehensively talked about the current topics with regard to the 3D Audio, including those standardized and/or discussed in ITU-R, MPEG, SMPTE, AES, IEC, and so on. Many people attended the meeting and they discussed extensively the standardization issues with Mr. Yoshio.
