Tonight we welcomed in 3 new CRAS AES Office Holders:

Meeting Location: Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences 1205 N Fiesta Blvd Gilbert Az 85233
Intro: The meeting started out with a monologue from Chuck, our adviser, talking about the importance of AES. He talked about trying to get everybody involved in the AES activities. We then got an introduction from our President Neil. Next, there were introductions from the members in attendance, talking about what they hope to get out of AES. A major theme for the reason was networking.
New Business: The floor was opened for ideas for future AES events. The specifics of suggesting ideas was discussed.
-A tour of Sun Studios was suggested for an upcoming Saturday by Lyric and the majority of the members said they would be interested in attending.
-There was a suggestion for a broadcast Q&A from one of the members (Lia) friends from Disney Cruises on August 30th.
-Lyric also suggested a tour of a new studio called Vaul Studio.
-A music production event was suggested by Tony where the members, of both music backgrounds, would be challenged to make a project over a 2 week period to make a musical project. E.I. (A country artist collaborating with a rock artist).
-A clinic was suggested by Sam talking about the specifics of certain instruments (Drums, Guitar, Bass, flute)
-There was an idea for a poll of ideas for future AES events on the main CRASConnect website.
-There was an idea brought up for a trip down to NAMM (National Association for Music Merchants) later down the road in January.
-Going to the 141st International International AES Convention in LA during late September
-Creating a list of musicians willing to play on school projects was talked about
The meeting was closed out by talking about extracurricular academic events over the week.
