Meeting Topic: Cascade Ribbon Mic Presentation

Summary

We started the meeting asking for help in moving equipment for the up and
coming presentation that Scott Murray is doing. Informed everyone again about the
internship boot camp that would be happening the following week. The student Bradley
Bacon did a gear presentation on his Cascade ribbon microphones. They were a stereo
pair we set up in an M/S setup. Thing got real cool when we hooked them in to pro tools
and recorded the group making rain sound effects. This part was lead by our fellow
classmate Will Stowell. It was a sound effect techique he learned at a camp he went to.
At the end Jeff Harris came in and showed us direct chicken. A direct box made out of a
rubber chicken and talked to us about a direct box build that will be coming up soon.
