Welcome to the AES Colorado Section Web Site!
Colorado section leadership and contact information

The AES serves its members, the industry and the public by stimulating and facilitating advances in the constantly changing field of audio. It encourages and disseminates new developments through annual technical meetings and exhibitions of professional equipment, and through the Journal of the Audio Engineering Society, the professional archival publication in the audio industry.

The Colorado Section was established in 1995 in order to serve AES members and to foster the goals of the Society in the Rocky Mountain region. Approximately 5 meetings of the Section are held each year.

The Colorado AES Section generally to holds meetings on the first Wednesday evening of even-numbered months (February, April, June, ...), although we may occasionally find it necessary to deviate from this schedule to accommodate special speakers and events. Please check here for the latest information and date changes.

Audio Forensics Conference in Denver

It’s here! The AES 33rd International Conference, Audio Forensics—Theory and Practice, is being held June 5–7 in Denver, Colorado, at the Sheraton Denver Hotel (formerly the Adam’s Mark). This is a follow-up conference to the very successful AES 26th Conference on forensics which was also held in Denver in 2005. The 33rd will explore the history, hardware, and techniques of forensic investigation of audio materials. The field has gone through significant advances with the advent of digital audio recording, signal processing, and computerassisted evaluation. The appropriate use of analog and digital processes provides the contemporary audio engineer with powerful tools for quality audio investigation in support of the law enforcement, legal, archival, and restoration communities. Go to the AES website to register online.
