Ryosuke Sugiura received the B.S. degree from the University of Tokyo in 2013 and the M.S. degree from the Graduate School of Information Science and Technology, the University of Tokyo, in 2015. Since joining NTT Communication Science Laboratories in 2015, he has been studying signal processing and information theory, especially audio compression. He received the IEEE Signal Processing Society (SPS) Japan Student Paper Award in 2015 and the Telecom
System Student Award from the Telecommunications Advancement Foundation (TAF) in 2016. He is a member of Acoustical Society of Japan (ASJ) and IEEE.
