Frank Wefers

Frank received a diploma degree in computer science from RWTH Aachen University, Germany in 2007. Shortly after, he joined Michael Vorländer's Institute of Technical Acoustics (ITA) in Aachen as a doctoral student. In his time as a PhD he researched signal processing algorithms for virtual acoustics, focussing on different computing platforms.
In this context, a particular topic of interest for him are fast convolution algorithms for real-time filtering.
Currently, he works as a post-doc at ITA in Aachen, continueing his research on immersive auralization systems.
Frank is a member of the AES and the German Acoustical Society (DEGA).
