Saturday, May 11, 20:30 h, Dom (Frauenkirche), Frauenplatz

  • U-Bahn / S-Bahn – Station : Marienplatz
  • By bus from MOC at 20:00 h
Free of charge; no ticket required

Graham Blyth will give a recital on the Organ of the Münchener Dom, the ‘Liebfrauenkirche’. The 99 and 100 meter high respectively Twin Towers of the Frauenkirche with the ‘Welch’ caps are high up in the sky of München. This is the oldest landmark of the city. Built between 1468 and 1488 by Jörg von Halbach (nicknamed ‘Ganghofer’) this cathedral is the biggest late-gothic hall church of Europe. Here, you will find the splendid tomb of the German Kaiser (emperor) Ludwig the Bavarian.
The imposing church organ of the Frauenkirche is a particular challenge to any organ player.
Graham Blyth, the technical director of Soundcraft, will perform the recital.
