On Monday and Tuesday, June 27th and 28th, the 24th AES UK Conference will take place in Guildford, Surrey, UK. The conference is titled The Ins and Outs of Audio, and it is designed for product designers, component manufacturers, engineering researchers, students with an interest in audio product design and applications, and users.
Students in Europe should take note of a new event called CESS 2011 - Central European Student Summit. It will be held July 8-10 in Kraków, Poland and is free to all AES Student Members. They already have an exciting preliminary program planned for this event, and have made arrangements for affordable housing at the university.
And finally, anyone involved in Semantic Audio will want to make plans to attend the 42nd AES Conference which will happen July 22-24 in Ilmenau, Germany. An updated preliminary program will be posted soon but you can go ahead and register now.
The Journal is pleased to announce that two new associate technical editors—Jean-Marc Jot (signal processing) and Aki Mäkivirta (loudspeaker processing)—will be providing assistance with oversight of manuscript reviews.
Also - the deadline for submitting Engineering Briefs is July 15th so be sure to submit your synopsis soon if you want to present an eBrief in New York at the 131st AES Convention.
