Reverberation Reinforcement by Delayed Electro-Acoustic Feedback-Ambiophony
The object of the system is to simulate by electro-acoustic means the large number of reflections from the wall, ceiling and floor which normally make up the natural indirect sound and provide a smooth and uniform decay. The main EMI studio in London has under normal conditions a reverberation time of 1:8 sec at 1 kHz which can be raised by the system to 4 sec. with safety, even with acoustic loading.
