On the Applicability of Distributed Mode Loudspeaker Panels for Wave Field Synthesis-Based Sound Reproduction
The applicability of distributed mode loudspeaker (DML) panels for wave field synthesis (WFS)-based sound reproduction has been investigated. For WFS a large number of closely spaced loudspeakers is necessary. DML panels are lightweight and can be placed directly on the walls. Results are reported from a research project that tested the objective and subjective performance of these loudspeaker panels for WFS.:
