Electronic Sound Absorber

The solution of noise problems in the past has been confined to reduction of the noise source level or to the use of conventional passive sound treatment. This paper describes the results obtained using a feedback system of noise cancellation which has been termed an active system. As a specific example, the electronic sound absorber has been applied to the reduction of the noise produced by a window-type air conditioner.
