Reflections Generated by Different Pulsed Sound Sources and Their Energy
The structure and energy of sound reflections generated in a room by four different pulsed sound sources including a 9 caliber sound pistol, a starter's pistol, a 16 caliber hunting rifle, and a toy pistol were analyzed. It has been found that the shorter the pulse duration, the larger the number of reflections generated by it within an interval and the less energetic the reflections. Within an interval of 5-10 ms, a sound pistol creates five reflections, a starter's pistol one, and a hunting rifle two, but their energies are different. The maximum energy generated by these sources is also different.
