Document Thumbnail

In this paper, the state of the art in presentation of sound in three-dimensional audiovisual scene description languages is overviewed. As examples, two multimedia standards are discussed that address parametric coding and real-time presentation of audiovisual scenes, namely, the MPEG-4 and VRML.
