On the Movement of a Horn's Acoustic Center

Document Thumbnail

This paper describes recent experiments regarding the acoustic center of a horn. It is generally believed that at low frequency a horn's acoustic center is located at the mouth and that it moves with increasing frequency toward the throat. A computer model and acoustic measurements are used to test this hypothesis on an array of similar horns.
