Some Aspects of Stereophony Applicable to Conference Use

The advantages of stereophonic over monophonic presentation (as a result of image separation) are reviewed and new data presented to provide additional quantitative appraisal. An experimental two-channel stereo telephone conference system using a synchronized frequency shifter with anti-sing features is discussed.
