Modeling of Flux Modulation Distortion in Moving-Coil Loudspeakers by the Finite-Element Method

Document Thumbnail

An improved nonlinear model of a moving-coil loudspeaker provides calculation of flux modulation distortion, produced by interaction of the constant field and the alternating field, generated by the voice coil. The modeled distortion is compared with measurements. Three-dimensional nonlinear distortion curves are presented.
