Auralization of Variable Room Acoustic Reverberation and Multimicrophone Placement Using Signal Processing
There are many auralization methods that exist that, using digital signal processing, can model the acoustic characteristics of a room. These algorithms create an impulse response based on both room characteristics and the position of the sound source and sound receiver in the room. In this paper, the author explores the modeling of different types of microphone polar patterns, stereo techniques, and multimicrophone techniques in the process of the creation of a room impulse response.: Preprint 4107
