Interrelation of Speaker and Amplifier Design
Anticipated improvement of performance has motivated amplifier designs using no audio transformers, particularly in speaker-amplifer combinations. However, direct coupling to the speaker involves several problems that may not all be obvious to the amplifier designer unfamiliar with speaker theory. This paper analyzes some of the pitfalls to be avoided.
