Challenges in the Use of Aural Multimedia Program Material in Professional Audio and Education

The utilization of audio in multimedia presentations creates numerous challenges, especially when intended audiences for such programmatic material are both students and practitioners of professional audio. These challenges include: file size, data format compatibility, compression-related artifacts, and end-user processor functionality. Methods are explored to maximize audio quality, both from a data management and playback system perspective.
