Australian DAB Trials

Australia has joined the small but growing list of countries to establish trials of the Eureka 147 digital audio broadcasting (DAB) system. Telstra has set up two working systems in Sydney and Melbourne and has invited service providers to explore and develop the DAB environment. This paper provides an overview of the trial objectives and the technology involved. In Australia, DAB is also known as digital radio broadcasting (DRB).
