The Multimedia Network for the Italian Basket League
This paper describes the solution adopted to an integration problem for an articulated audio system in a very complex multimedia network, planned by the author for the Italian Basket League headquarters in Bologne, Italy. The use of a structured wiring system, according to the EIA/TIA 568 Standard, has been the supporting element of an -internal electronic highway,- capable of giving support to the different multimedia applications used by companies. The goal of the wiring system is to distribute in a logical and functional way the following fundamental services to all their locations-audio, video, telephone, intercom, data transmission, controls, and security systems.
