Echo Suppression for Loudspeaker-Microphone System Measurements

Document Thumbnail

We treat the problem of loudspeaker-microphone (LM) system measurements in reverberant environments where the desired response is corrupted by unknown echoes. A new approach based on pole-zero modeling of the LM system is presented and compared to traditional methods like time-delay spectrometry and cepstral deconvolution. We show that the new method leads to higher resolution in frequency domain when the system transfer function exhibits sharp peaks and/or valleys.
