Analysis of a simple linear speaker array shows sharpened directivity reduces acoustical feedback. Additional reduction is best achieved by acoustical or electrical adjustment of ratio of effective array wave length to signal wave length. Wide band constant beam width requires sophisticated design and cost increment.
