Isolation of Rhythmic Patterns in Musical Signals

Document Thumbnail

A method is proposed to isolate rhythmic patterns in certain categories of musical signals. An averaging is applied to a series of peak regions in order to estimate the clean rhythmic pattern. This will be used to control the dynamics of this particular part of the signal and to perform intelligent functions, such as beat calculation and bar investigation.
