One approach to the central control of some switching functions in a low end mixing console using a one-chip microcomputer is presented. The solution involves mix buses assignation, Mute, Insert On, and SOLO/PFL functions. The individual configuration of switching elements setting can be assigned time data serving higher automation functions application in cooperation with an external PC through MIDI bus.
