The ISDN MusicTAXI
The ISDN MusicTAXI is a fully digital and full duplex audio coder (with MUSICAM algorithm) and decoder, able to transmit up to CD quality 20 kHz stereo audio feeds based on standard switched 64/56 kbit/s networks using terrestical, fibre optic, ISDN, or satellite facilities. Analog broadcast XLR input, digital AES/EBU input, selectable sampling frequency, 16 bits linear quantization, selectable bitrates (nx64 kBit/s, n=1...6). Output S_o, are according to world standard. The input stage uses the MUSICAM format with selectable rates, the output stage use a digital combiner for selectable transmission rates.
