Auralized sound fields, one from numerically calculated results (computer simulations), the other from results measured using a narrow-directional microphone, are compared with the actual field in a mid-sized room (about 600 m3 in volume). A multi-loudspeaker system is used for auralization, which consists of 23 loudspeakers on a spherical surface. Physical indices calculated from each echo diagram are shown for comparison.
