Analyzed in this paper is the performance of adaptive equalization of lattice structure to compensate for the nonlinearity of digital satellite and digital radio channels with multipath propagation (Rumnler's Model) and additive noise. In the receiver the author simulates a) a nonlinear adaptive equalizer proposed by Falconer (MQAM) and b) a nonlinear adaptive equalizer proposed by Benedetto and Biglieri (MPSK). Here, the adaptive lattice equalizer is proven for the first time, showing nearly the same results as the nonlinear adaptive equalizers proposed by Falconer or Benedetto and Biglieri, but with reduced processing complexity.
